The new SAMÍ portrait matchboxes are being introduced at the Defining Scandinavia fair in Øksnehallen – starting thursday this week.

The portraits on the boxes are a series of four portraits of  indigenous people from the North- eternalized by G.Roche during the anthropological expedition undertaken by Prince Bonaparte to Lapland in 1884 (yes- he was a grandson of Lucien Bonaparte, Emperor Napoleon I’s brother!)

The recyclable cardboard boxes contain 175 pcs of matches made from FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified wood.

Text describing the expedition is printed on the back of each box!ByPiippola
